چکیده

We analyze the outage probability of integrated ground-air-space free-space optical (FSO) communication links for different atmospheric turbulence channel models. The performance ground to high altitude platforms (HAPS), HAPS geostationay Earth orbit (GEO) satellite, and GEO satellite is investigated various link configurations (downlink, horizontal, uplink) parameters such as zenith angle, state, horizontal vertical deviations, altitude, beam waist, receiver aperture diameter, wind speed, visibility. attenuation (the effects fog, cloud volcanic activities), turbulence, angle arrival (AOA) fluctuations pointing error are included in considered model. Closed-form expressions density function (PDF) cumulative distribution (CDF) obtained Lognormal, Gamma exponentiated Weibull distributed benefit using shown by comparison probabilities direct assisted links.

Performance Analysis of Polarization Modulated Direct Detection Optical CDMA Systems over Turbulent FSO Links Modeled by the Gamma-Gamma Distribution

This paper proposes a theoretical study to characterize the transmission of optical code division multiple access (CDMA) systems deploying polarization shift keying (PolSK) over a free space optical (FSO) link under the impact of atmospheric turbulence. In our analysis, a novel transceiver architecture for atmospheric OCDMA FSO systems based on polarization modulation with direct detection is p...

An Accurate Computational Tool for Performance Estimation of FSO Communication Links over Weak to Strong Atmospheric Turbulent Channels

The terrestrial optical wireless communication links have attracted significant research and commercial worldwide interest over the last few years due to the fact that they offer very high and secure data rate transmission with relatively low installation and operational costs, and without need of licensing. However, since the propagation path of the information signal, i.e., the laser beam, is...

Comparison of Bit Error Rate Performance of Different Modulation Techniques over Turbulent FSO Link

Free space optical (FSO) communication link is a line of sight (LOS) wireless link between the nodes separated by an unguided medium such that visible and infrared bands of the spectrum are used as data carrier. Recent past has witnessed huge revival of research interest in this field so as to make FSO commercially viable and looking into this prospective, data modulation techniques are one of ...

Impacts of the Negative-exponential and the K-distribution modeled FSO turbulent links on the theoretical and simulated performance of the distributed diffusion networks

Merging the adaptive networks with the free space optical (FSO) communication technology is a very interesting field of research because by adding the benefits of this technology, the adaptive networks become more efficient, cheap and secure. This is due to the fact that FSO communication uses unregistered visible light bandwidth instead of the overused radio spectrum. However, in spite of all ...
